Is Digital Marketing taking over Offline Marketing?
Digital Marketing is referred to the marketing process which relies on online portals, such as search engines, web-pages, social media and websites.
Offline Marketing is referred to the marketing process which concentrates on offline mediums for marketing purposes, such as banners, fliers, newspapers, magazines, radio, TV, business cards, billboards, etc.
Everything has become digital, so has marketing. But, is Digital Marketing taking over Offline Marketing? Well, it is certainly not taking over offline marketing, but it has taken up a huge share in the market for sure.
Business concerns of every kind and scale have realized the importance of digital marketing and are opting for professional marketing firms to promote their business on the internet.
The benefit of digital marketing is that it reaches out to maximum number of people in lesser time. Also, it is more cost-efficient in comparison with offline marketing.
But, the importance of offline marketing cannot be ignored. This is because a business needs to be seen everywhere. And when customers learn about any business and the products and/or services offered on offline mediums, its impact stays with them for a longer period of time. Moreover, not every person is into digitalization and many still rely on old school mediums of information. And ignoring offline marketing would result in losing out on many of such customers.
Thus, it can be concluded that both digital and offline marketing are essentially required by businesses. Digital marketing has taken a significant share of offline marketing but it cannot be a substitute to offline marketing. Both are important to create awareness in the market about the businesses and the products and/or services offered to the customers.
